Triennial 2009

Triennial Meeting plan taking shape

The Triennial Meeting 2009 is just a little more than a year away - July 8-18, 2009.

Initial plans are coming together. The theme we are working around is "GROW IN GRACE" with scripture reference of II Peter 3:18 "Grow in the grace of knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Remembering Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God - not the result of works, so no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand to be our way of life."

We have speakers who will continue our theme: The right Rev. Steven Charleston, dean of Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, and Phyllis Tickle, author, lecturer, founding editor of the Religion Department of Publishers Weekly.

A ministry fair is planned where you will find special ministry ideas to take home and use.

The welcoming dinner is something you will not want to miss. It will be fun, exciting and historical. Workshops will be interspersed throughout the 10 days of meetings.

There will be a ceremony for the Honored Women. We will have further information coming about when your honored woman nomination needs to be in.

Wouldn't it be great if each diocese named a special woman for this honer? Be thinking of ways to select the honored woman from your diocese.

See you in Anaheim, California in July 2009.
